“Magic Carpet Ride” To this day, the distant thump of a Huey’s rotor blades stirs deep emotions in all of those that she carried during the Vietnam War. This print captures the Huey in one of it’s most fulfilling roles, bringing a load of grunts back from the bush. Depicted is a combat workhorse with muddy skids, stowed seats, chipped paint, patched bullet holes, and a precious cargo of tired, tattered, dirty, but happy infantrymen. The crew chief and gunner keep a watchful eye out for any who would stand between these men and home.

“Eye of the Tiger” LOH crews where typically the airborne “scouts” that would seek out the enemy by flying low, sometimes below the tree-tops. Once found, the enemy was often engaged by the crew-chiefs M-60 and with a mounted minigun if equipped. The crew would also mark the target with smoke grenades for gunships flying cover. In this print, a team of OH-6A LOH’s (Light Observation Helicopters) has found, marked, and engaged an enemy position. This print can be customized with unit markings, and 2 or 3 man crew configuration of your choice.
